We are excited to announce the formation of our own “Friends of the Library”, a dedicated group of community members who support the library's mission through fundraising, advocacy, and volunteer efforts. The Friends of the Library will play a key role in helping the library grow, expand its services, and remain a vital resource for everyone in our community.
As part of this exciting initiative, we are looking for passionate individuals to serve on the Executive Board. This is an important, long-term commitment for those who wish to make a meaningful impact by shaping the future of the library. Serving on the Executive Board is not just an occasional volunteer opportunity, but a chance to help guide the organization’s direction and lead ongoing efforts to support the library.
What does it mean to serve on the Friends of the Library Executive Board?
- Attend regular meetings (monthly or quarterly)
- Take on leadership roles in planning and executing fundraising and advocacy events
- Work closely with library staff and other community leaders to promote the library’s mission
- Help recruit and organize volunteers for ongoing initiatives
If you are enthusiastic about the Wallington Public Library and are ready to make a lasting impact, we encourage you to consider this opportunity. Your dedication will ensure the continued success and growth of our library!
